Before I die I want to. . . The Poloroid Project
A few years ago I received an email from the creators of an inspiring website where you can submit your photo of what you want to do before you die. Check out www.beforeidieiwantto.org. The title of the website says it best: BEFORE I DIE I WANT TO... is an international community exploring what it means to live life to the fullest.
The photos are all Poloroids from people in the US and India. Most look to be average, everyday folks sending in their wish, but the most gripping photos are of those in Hospice care, who obviously are thinking about their last days. The project looks to have been started recently a few years ago, and the creators, two young women, have stated a goal where they will follow up with some of the participants in five, ten, or twenty years, to see if they have accomplished their goal. The project also has a very robust Facebook page with over 9,000 fans, including - just a few minutes ago - me.
